Our client, Translink, are currently seeking a Business Analyst for their Passenger Transport Strategy and Technology branch.
The Business Analyst will utilise their demonstrated experience and skills towards delivering BA products including:
- Problem Definition/Situation Analysis
- Current and Future State Analysis
- Business Options Analysis
- Business Requirements Engineering
- Business Process Redesign - LEAN
- Business Impact and Stakeholder Analysis
- Supporting the ICT development lifecycle (multiple different deliverables)
The primary duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Identification, analysis, and development of clear requirements to meet business and end user needs and facilitate common understanding between stakeholders.
- Planning, development, and presentation of BA deliverables, ensuring documentation is targeted to the appropriate audience, and mitigate issues as they arise.
- From the analysis, identify and address opportunities for improvements in business operations.
- Presenting concepts in a concise and focused manner, including narrative, process diagrams, role and accountability diagrams and business-focused story boards.
- Assisting with the definition, analysis, acquisition, build/configure, test, train and roll out of solutions.

Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst helping deliver key transformation projects with significant technology components. Working in government environments is an advantage
- Experience delivering presentations and demonstrations, running workshops, and managing client's expectations.
- Ability to articulate technology in terms that stakeholders can understand whilst understanding the impact of change on the business and providing the necessary support.
- Expertise in industry standard modelling tools and methods
- Experience working in Prince2 environments, delivering IT enabled solutions.
- Knowledge and experience of contributing to procurement processes from preparation to contract award is an advantage
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship building, stakeholder management and vendor engagement skills are required as well as the ability to deliver under pressure.
- Experience working closely with vendors to identify requirements and deliver solutions
This hourly rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.
